About Swamini Foods

Why We Started

A story rooted in family, tradition, and a simple belief — that food made with honesty tastes better.

A Home Kitchen, A Family Promise

Swamini Foods was born out of a simple frustration — the ghee available in shops no longer tasted like the ghee our grandmothers made. It was faster to produce, cheaper to buy, but it had lost the depth of flavour and purity that came from slow, traditional methods.

Founder Kajal Hande set out to change that, starting small — a few jars for family and neighbours in Junnar, Pune — made exactly the way her own family had always made it: hand-churned, slow-cooked, and free of any shortcuts.

Today, Swamini Foods carries that same promise to thousands of homes across Maharashtra, without ever compromising on the traditional process that started it all.

Kajal Hande, Founder of Swamini Foods

“We don't make ghee to sell. We make ghee the way we'd want our own children to eat it — and then we share it with yours.”

— Kajal Hande, Founder
